Princess Sally is one of my favorite subjects to draw. There's a lot of potential with her I don't know how this turned out so well with me being as tired as I am right now.
I ALMOST had the Sonic gang in the background, but I think it's Sally's time and hers alone to shine in this piece. Maybe later huh? The SatAM cast WITH Rotor!!
Also... hehe...eh... this piece was inspired by fan art that I saw in the comics a looooong time ago that always sticks out in my mind. I thought it was cool to "purtify" Sally with attire that is warrior-like yet elegant with ribbons floating all over ^_^ Maybe that person that inspired me is here on DA.....maybe it's YOU!!
Beautifully done her pose is so elegant but also has that hint of intimidation great work! Love how youve made white work, i hear its actually a hard colour to work with
I agree with you, Sally has a huge amount of potential in her story and where she goes in life. I just wish she wasn't quite so second fiddle to Sonic if you see what I mean. I love the style you've gone with for her though! Beautiful and elegant but still bursting with strength. She may look pretty but don't think she wouldn't smack you one if you step over the mark. I can see her becoming this either as she becomes Queen or when they finally take down Robotnik. It will be Sonic who takes him out but it would be Sally who heals the damage he's done and brings back the positive. If we're talking art, I honnestly can say that when I first saw it I thought it had been done by the professional company. She looks so Sally, you've managed to capture her style and her overal form. About the only comment I could make is that her left boot curves a bit too much but it's hardly noticable in the overal picture. I love the colours and the simple background really brings her out.

Interesting outfit design. Vaaaguely reminds me of some issue where she had some kind of intricate gold/blue/red (I think) shoulder adornments. Her one leg seems a tad too bendy, though...
It's nice seeing a colour so strikingly different from their norm on a familiar character once in a while.
DeviantART has partnered with FAIR to help promote equality through The Love Unites Shepard Fairey Equality Project. We're asking deviants to align themselves with this cause and have their work judged by Shepard Fairey himself!
Daily Literature Deviations is a group that is dedicated to bringing literature to the forefront of the deviantArt community. We attempt to accomplish this by daily featuring Literature artists from around the community that deserve the recognition, but are not getting it. Each day we will feature 5 deviations from the Literature categories in a News Article.
In order to support the artists that we feature, we ask that you the news article as well as check out the individual pieces. We understand that each day you may not be able to check out each and every one of the pieces, everyone has their own things going on. We just ask that you make an attempt to help support the growing Literature community.
For those who have many watchers, and for those who dont have many, it is hard to know how one retains that interest as well as receive more. This article explores the basics of watchers and how we react to certain situations. Although it does not affect some deviants, and the tips are generally related to common sense, we hope the article is a worthwhile read and that the majority learn something from reading this.

I don't want to just tell a story. I want to create a world.
