Littlefoot from one of Don Bluth's greatest movies in history, The Land Before Time. This is what the LBT is to me; not the giddy, silly, musicals that will never match up to the first one....the only true one. As he journeys to the Great Valley, one of the few remaining inhabitable lands, he is guided by the "Bright Circle". He still mourns the loss of his mother, feeling so alone in this frightening and perilous outstretch of wasteland he must travel through before reaching paradise. On the contrary, he was never alone. (Yes, he gains the companions Petrie, Ducky, Spike, and Cera...but even before that he wasn't alone, because his mother was watching over him )
I should be ashamed of myself for not keeping up with the Land Before Time art. This movie was what started it all. THEE very first major inspiration that I can remember, needless to say.... a huge obsession. I must've seen this movie over 250 times in my lifetime. I lost count heheh.
I like The Land Before Time, but it got on my nerves when they made the 8th or 9th one. People need to learn to leave good movies alone and not use it to the point of slaughtering it senselessly... -_-

;_; The first movie was on Disney a few months back. I watched it like I did when I was younger. At the end I suddenly remembered that what seemed like it was only the prior day that I was at my grandparent's house watching this movie was actually 13 years ago...

Chris: Who cares, you know he has phat cash under there, what's a few diseases and possibly crabs when it comes to millions in con monies?
Very emotional piece, I like it very much. I watched TLBT so many times, dad had to splice the tape together about 4 or 5 times I'm so glad it's moved to DVD recently but yes, none of the sequels do it justice. Kudos.
I love Don Bluth's movies. My favorite is NIMH. I wish he'd make another one.

YES. YES. YES. Land Before Time, the first one, that is, is a true heartfelt film with charm and depth none of it's crappy sequels can ever take. You've captured his moments perfectly here. And the Tree Star leaf, a significant item that holds dear for Littlefoot. Perfect capture of his feelings and the emotion the movie gave to those who watched and loved it.

I haven't seen this movie in ages but I remember loving it. It was a very touching film. I can't believe they ruined it by adding on so many sequels. >>
